A page title and description help explain what a page is about before someone opens it. Start with the actual subject and audience. These fields should represent the visible page accurately, rather than becoming a separate set of exaggerated promises written only for search engines.
Name the page clearly
For a small business, combine the business name with a useful description of its real service. For a portfolio, include the person’s name and focus. “Mira Studio — ceramic tableware and workshops” is more informative than a list of repeated generic search phrases. Use a location only when it is relevant and correct.
Keep the description specific
Summarize what a visitor will find and the next step available. Mention distinctive factual details that are already on the page. Do not advertise prices, availability or guarantees that the website does not support. Read the description as an introduction to a person, not a container to fill with keywords.
Align metadata with the page
Check that the main heading, title and introduction describe the same subject. If you change the business offer or website language, review the metadata too. Different language versions need wording that makes sense in that language, not a copied English description under a translated heading.
Expect search engines to choose their display
Google can create a title link from several signals and can select a snippet that differs from the supplied description. Changes also require recrawling and processing. The controls and limitations are documented at https://developers.google.com/search/docs/appearance/title-link and https://developers.google.com/search/docs/appearance/snippet.
VollSite generates search metadata with the website, but you should still inspect its factual accuracy. Do not add fabricated awards or a city you do not serve to make it sound more competitive. Preview the published version and confirm that the page content supports the wording. Metadata can improve clarity; it cannot guarantee a particular result, ranking or number of visitors.
